(COLORADO SPRINGS) — This week, FOX21 Morning News and the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) are featuring Grizzly, a four-year-old tan Guinea pig who came into HSPPR as an owner surrender.
According to HSPPR, Grizzly is used to being picked up and held and has experience living with older children, cats, and dogs. HSPPR said Grizzly is a little on the shy side, but still very sweet. He loves hay and sneaks away to his hiding spots in his kennel.
HSPPR said Guinea pigs are fantastic starter pets that can help teach young children how to care for a pet and how to be gentle while handling small animals. They are also fairly easy to care for and their diet consists of hay, fresh veggies, and pellets.
Grizzly’s adoption fee is waived and he’s ready to go home today.
