I-25 lane closures overnight for guardrail and pothole repairs

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) said starting on Monday, Jan. 29 there will be overnight closures on I-25 for repairs.

The work zone will be from mile point 139 to mile point 144, between U.S. Highway 24 and Fillmore Street near downtown Colorado Springs.

The work is to repair guardrails and potholes along the stretch of road.

Travelers are advised to use caution on that stretch of interstate as there are several curves, warned CDOT.

According to CDOT, starting on Monday and lasting until overnight Wednesday, Jan. 31, there will be roadwork on I-25 overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Eastbound I-25 will be reduced to one lane, along with the speed limit reduction to 55 mph in the work zone.

CDOT is expecting work on the interstate to be complete by overnight Wednesday.
