New mobility hub comes to Manitou Springs

(MANITOU SPRINGS) — The City of Manitou is cutting the Ribbon on the new Dillon Mobility Hub on June 16, at 7 a.m.

“It will be a convenient way to park here, get downtown, and not have to fight through the traffic,” said Manitou’s Mobility and Parking Director, John Crawford.

The parking lot will include 91 parking spots for people to park and then connect to a shuttle, hop on a bike, or walk on a trail all across Manitou.

Crawford told FOX21, “We’re looking for connectivity… for not only shuttle access but also through the redevelopment of our bike and our creek walk trails. So you’ll be able to connect from here [Dillion Mobility Hub] all the way through downtown to the other side of town and even further if you want to go.”

The lot will cost $5 to park there all day, and although there is no overnight parking allowed, the lot is open so you can leave at your leisure.

This is only the first phase of many to create an interconnected system to allow visitors to easily get to staples of Manitou like The Cog Railway, The Incline, and Downtown.

The City recommends downloading the Mountain Metro app before parking at the new hub so you can plan your ride around Manitou beforehand.
