(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Phil Long Hyundai of Motor City is hoping the community joins in on its celebration of 20 years serving Southern Colorado and its newly redesigned facility.
On Friday, June 6, the community is invited to visit its location at 170 West Motor Way from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be food, giveaways, and attendees can enjoy special guest appearances by Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy Gradishar and Denver Broncos Cheerleaders.

2 p.m. – 7 p.m. – Family-friendly activities, free treats from Kangaroo Coffee, Pepsi, and Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard, and autographs with Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy Gradishar
2 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Guest appearances by Denver Broncos Cheerleaders
4 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Remarks from Phil Long Dealerships’ President/CEO Kevin Shaughnessy, Phil Long Hyundai of Motor City’s General Manager and Partner Steve Krohn, Colorado Springs’ Mayor Yemi Mobolade, and Hyundai Motor America representative Joshua Headrick, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony
4:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. – Complimentary signature tacos served by Chef Brother Luck and live music by Red Rocks Rebellion
At the event, there will also be live music and family-friendly activities, including face painting, a bounce house, and an interactive car art project. Switchbacks’ mascot, Ziggy, will be in attendance as well.
“The $10 million multi-phase renovation project of the dealership started in November 2023 and was completed in December 2024,” according to the press release. The remodel includes a new state-of-the-art showroom and waiting lounge, 15 new service bays, 25,000 additional square feet of working space, and eco-friendly LED lighting and an updated HVAC system.
“As we look forward to the next decade of serving our community, we are excited to elevate our customers’ experience,” said Krohn. “Everything about this project was designed with their satisfaction in mind from the moment they walk in the door. Our added amenities create a more friendly and relaxed environment, and the expansion of our service department further ensures quick turnaround times for all their maintenance needs.”
Donations collected at Friday’s celebration will benefit Mount Carmel Veterans Service Center. The event is free to all who attend.
