(PUEBLO, Colo.) — A man has been arrested in Pueblo after he allegedly threw a chair through the front window of a bar.
According to the Pueblo Police Department (PPD), officers were patrolling the downtown Pueblo area around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, and approaching the intersection of Union and Grand Avenues when they were flagged down by the owners of a local bar.
The owner pointed out a man dressed in all black who was walking across the street, alleging that the man had just thrown a chair through the window of the bar. Officers also learned that before damaging the bar, the suspect had also broken the large window of another empty business.
The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Ramiro Hijar, ran from officers through the parking lot of the El Pueblo History Museum and onto City Center Drive before officers were able to catch him. He was taken into custody and booked into the Pueblo County Detention Center on two counts of criminal mischief.
