(FOUNTAIN, Colo.) — A Colorado Springs swim instructor was arrested by the Fountain Police Department (FPD) on Thursday, Jan. 18 in connection to an investigation of sexual exploitation of children.
According to FPD, 20-year-old Joseph Diepeveen was arrested around 8 a.m. on Thursday as a result of an investigation into Internet Child Exploitation. Following his arrest, FPD detectives learned that Diepeveen is currently employed as a swim instructor at the British Swim School in Colorado Springs.

Diepeveen was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Child – Distribution of Material and Sexual Exploitation of a Child – Video.
Diepeveen is being held without bond. He is due in El Paso County Court on Jan. 29.
